AMBOY is Chef Alvin Cailan's ode to his culture. "I've always been proud of being Filipino but growing up in Pico Rivera, a predominantly Latino neighborhood, I really wasn't exposed to Filipino recipes or traditional home made Filipino food." Chef Alvin's father made basic Filipino dishes that he's now implemented in AMBOY's menu. But his food journey through Portland, and Los Angeles has taught him so much more. Melding his professional experiences with traditional Filipino recipes.
